South Macon Arts Revitalization Technology at a Glance

The mission of SMART (South Macon Arts Revitalization Technology) is to promote effective means by which the commUNITY will create sustainable and interrelated development that enhance quality of life and the area.

SMART, Inc. organized in the South Macon area of Macon/Bibb County, Georgia in 2015. SMART believes in and focuses on an “Asset Based Community”.

Being a project based organization, we look at what is and envision with the community and partners, what can be.

SMART', Inc's. playground project was among the first 15 projects chosen to be developed from blight funds.  Our South Macon community is looking forward to the erection of a playground on Lynmore Avenue. A playground for all ages. Right now our children play in the street or cross three busy highways for recreation. We looked at the blight and realized what was there and envisioned what could be there. A Playground and Community Center for our residents.
